An AI whiteboard video generator makes the classic "hand draws on a whiteboard" video for you. With GenPixy, you type a topic and get a finished whiteboard explainer video: a hand draws each picture, a narrator explains the idea, and captions follow every word. You do not need drawing skills, a microphone, or editing software.

What is a whiteboard explainer video?

A whiteboard video explains an idea with simple drawings on a white background while a narrator talks. Viewers watch the idea take shape, one line at a time, which makes it easy to follow. You see this style in classrooms, online courses, and YouTube education channels.

Making a whiteboard video by hand takes many hours of drawing, recording, and editing. An AI explainer video generator such as GenPixy gives you the finished video from one sentence.

Whiteboard or Full Color?

GenPixy makes two styles. Switch the style, and GenPixy draws the same story in the new look.

Whiteboard Full Color
Look A hand draws each picture, line by line, on white Bold colored scenes with pictures that pop in
Feels like A calm lesson A social media feed
Best for Classes, courses, "how it works" topics, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Reels, and fun facts
The Full Color style. Topic: "How does your heart pump blood around your whole body?" Landscape 16:9, English narration.

How to make a whiteboard video with AI in 5 steps

  1. Type your topic. Create a free GenPixy account, open DrawGen, and write one question, for example "How do vaccines train your immune system?" You can add a short note, such as who the video is for.
  2. Choose Whiteboard. Choose the Whiteboard style. Then choose Landscape 16:9 for YouTube and class screens, or Portrait 9:16 for phones.
  3. Choose the language and the voice. Choose English, Indonesian, or Same as topic, and a male or female voice.
  4. Generate. Select Generate video. You can close the page. Your video waits for you in My Gallery.
  5. Download and share. You get the MP4 video, an SRT subtitle file, a cover image, and a YouTube title and description.

How does GenPixy DrawGen uses AI?

  • DrawGen does not use any generative video model.
  • DrawGen does not use any generative image model.
  • AI usage is limited to just a language model. User cannot directly see its text output, and generation is strictly limited and uses strict safety guardrails. It has no image generation model and no video generation model, uses none through any other company, and does not start image or video generation for anyone. Think this service similar to a tool that converts PowerPoint Slides into animated presentations.
  • The core slideshow-generation workflow is not inherently dependent on an AI language model. We use a database of pre-made vector icons and captions then our engine animates them. These are standard stock voices, with no voice cloning, custom voices, or voice uploads. Similar functionality was possible before the ChatGPT era using conventional techniques such as deterministic text matching or rule-based logic.
  • Why this is not AI image or video generation: no model creates any image, frame, or footage, including the thumbnail. The icons exist before the customer arrives (we have a database of vector assets). The typed topic is not a prompt to an image or video model; it is the subject for the script writer. There is also no prompt builder, model picker, batch takes, spend ceiling, or bring-your-own-key option. Because DrawGen has no image or video generation model, customers cannot choose an image or video model and there is no image/video generation workflow for them to start. We do not serve AI image/video generation models.
  • It cannot create photorealistic footage, realistic depictions of people, face swaps, or deepfakes. The animation maker accepts no photos, images, video, audio, or voice samples, and there is no voice cloning.
