How to Make an Explainer Video with GenPixy in 5 Steps

An explainer video teaches one idea in a short time. Usually, a good explainer needs many tools and many hours of work. With GenPixy, you type one sentence and get the finished video. This guide shows each step in GenPixy DrawGen and gives tips for better results.

Before you start, create a free GenPixy account. The free plan gives you up to 10 free videos per day.

Step 1: Write a clear topic

Open DrawGen and type your topic in the box What should the video explain?. Use one sentence. Specific questions give the best videos.

  • Ask one question in each video.
  • Add a short note when it matters, for example who the video is for.
  • Write the topic in the language of your video when you use the Same as topic language option.

Step 2: Choose the format

  • Landscape 16:9: for YouTube, class screens, and presentations.
  • Portrait 9:16: for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels.

Step 3: Choose the style

  • Whiteboard: a hand draws each picture on a white board, line by line. This style is good for lessons and "how it works" topics.
  • Full Color: bold, colorful scenes with pictures that pop in. This style is good for social media feeds.

Step 4: Choose the language, narrator, and length

  • Narration language: English, Indonesian, or Same as topic.
  • Narrator: male or female. Select Play to hear a sample before you choose.
  • Length: 30 or 60 seconds on the free plan. For 90 seconds or 1080p quality, use Credits mode (25 credits for each video).
  • Burn in captions: this option is on by default. Keep it on. Many people watch social videos with the sound off. You always get the SRT subtitle file too.

Step 5: Generate, check, and download

Select Generate video. A progress page shows how your video is coming along. You can close the page. The video waits for you in Your videos.

When your video is ready:

  1. Watch the full video and check the facts. GenPixy uses AI, and AI can make mistakes.
  2. Download the MP4 video, the SRT subtitle file, and the cover image.
  3. Copy the YouTube title, description, and hashtags.
